my uncle was at flossenberg. he died went he left the camp when the americans were coming. His fellow prisoners had asked him to stay and wait for the americans but he must have decided to leave but finally he couldn’t walk anymore and my father tells my that he was told that the shot him in the head when they couldn’t walk anymore so as not to leave witnesses.
